According to UNICEF, more than 30,000 children die each day from preventable causes. That's over 10 million per year! God loses one of his precious children every 3 seconds.

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27 (NKJV)
Mission Statement: To plant seeds of hope in an orphan’s heart by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s word, as well as lovingly support the needs of the orphan in distress and encourage the permanent adoption of orphans into Christian homes.
As followers of Jesus Christ we have all had the honor and privilege of being adopted into God’s glorious family and given the gift of eternal life. Believers are God’s children and His heirs by adoption. When we are adopted as a child of God, we are regarded as a new person (reborn) beginning a new life. The members of the Calvary Orphan Outreach Ministry are all thankful for our adoption into God’s family and we strive to bring abandoned/vulnerable children the word of God in hope that they too will become believers and thus adopted into God’s family. Our goal is to ensure that as many orphans as possible find a permanent home within God’s kingdom and begin their new life as a child of God.
God has given all believers a mandate to defend orphans, to seek justice for the orphans, and to deliver them from their wicked oppressors. The Calvary Orphan Outreach Ministry has been established to help fulfill this mandate from God and to seek out orphans in their distress. The outreach mission would endeavor to develop awareness among our local community about the plight of the abandoned and vulnerable children overseas as well as domestically, and then convict the hearts of believers to minster to these orphans. Ultimately the desire is to eliminate the world orphan crisis by having each child adopted into God’s kingdom and a loving Christian home either domestically or indigenously. Planting the seeds of HOPE in Orphan’s hearts, one child at a time.
The Calvary Orphan Outreach Ministry will use a three pronged approach to accomplishing this goal. The first approach was to establish a partnership between our ministry and the Faith Community Church and Orphan Home in Jinja, Uganda. This partnership has created an incredibly effective solution that allows our ministry to work alongside the indigenous church by providing monthly financial support, prayer support, gifts in kind as needed, as well as sending ministry outreach teams to Uganda to engage in the day-to-day work of ministering to the local orphans in their community. The members of the our ministry believe that it is the will of God for His church to respond to the needs of the abandoned and vulnerable children of this world.
Another approach to this problem would be to establish a working group within the ministry to educate, encourage, support, and help fund local Christian families as they consider and pursue international or domestic adoptions. This endeavor would include: establishing an adoption fund and oversight committee to help disburse funds in order to facilitate more adoptions into Christian homes; provide pre- and post- adoption support through experienced adoptive families or other professionals; and connect our outreach to reputable adoption agencies/organizations for use by our church family as they begin their adoption journey.
The final approach would be to encourage and educate our church family about the joys of either fostering or adopting a waiting child through the United States foster care system. There are approximately 150,000 adoptable children in the US waiting for loving families to permanently open up their hearts and homes for them. Even if God is not calling you to adopt or foster one of these vulnerable children, there are still many ways in which our ministry can help. We can raise up and support foster parents, recruit and support adoptive parents, minister to state child-welfare workers, provide emergency respite care for foster families in our county, become mentors to some of the children and foster parents. It’s all about coming along side of someone who either works with these children or the children themselves, to provide loving care and support on a regular basis.
James 1:22 says, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says”, so the O3 Ministry has been established to do just as James commanded. Please join us in our efforts to DO what the Word says.
